Psalms 18:29-50 - [Verse 49 in Original Hebrew]
29 For by You I can run F157 R435 upon a troop; And by my God I can leap R436 over a wall. 30 As for God, His way is blameless; F158 R437 The word R438 of the LORD is tried; He is a shield R439 to all who take refuge in Him. 31 For who R440 is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, R441 except our God, 32 The God who girds R442 me with strength And makes F159 my way blameless? F160 R443 33 He makes R444 my feet like hinds' {feet,} And sets R445 me upon my high places. 34 He trains R446 my hands for battle, So that my arms can bend R447 a bow of bronze. 35 You have also given me the R448 shield of Your salvation, And Your right R449 hand upholds me; And Your R450 gentleness F161 makes me great. 36 You enlarge R451 my steps under me, And my feet F162 R452 have not slipped. 37 I pursued R453 my enemies and overtook them, And I did not turn back until R454 they were consumed. 38 I shattered them, so that they were not R455 able to rise; They fell under R456 my feet. 39 For You have girded R457 me with strength for battle; You have subdued F163 R458 under me those who rose up against me. 40 You have also made my enemies turn R459 their backs to me, And I destroyed F164 R460 those who hated me. 41 They cried for help, but there was none R461 to save, {Even} to the LORD, but He R462 did not answer them. 42 Then I beat them fine as the dust R463 before the wind; I emptied them out as the mire of the streets. 43 You have delivered me from the contentions R464 of the people; You have placed me as head R465 of the nations; A people R466 whom I have not known serve me. 44 As soon as they hear, they obey me; Foreigners submit F165 R467 to me. 45 Foreigners fade R468 away, And come R469 trembling out of their fortresses. F166 46 The LORD lives, R470 and blessed be my R471 rock; And exalted be the R472 God of my salvation, 47 The God who executes R473 vengeance for me, And subdues R474 peoples under me. 48 He delivers R475 me from my enemies; Surely You lift R476 me above those who rise up against me; You rescue me from the violent R477 man. 49 Therefore I will give R478 thanks to You among the nations, O LORD, And I will sing R479 praises to Your name. 50 He gives great deliverance F167 R480 to His king, And shows lovingkindness to His R481 anointed, To David and his R482 descendants F168 forever.
