Thanksgiving for Deliverance from Death.
A Psalm; a Song at the Dedication of the House. A Psalm of David.
1 I will extol R809 You, O LORD, for You have lifted R810 me up,
And have not let my enemies R811 rejoice over me.
2 O LORD my God,
I cried R812 to You for help, and You healed R813 me.
3 O LORD, You have brought R814 up my soul from Sheol; F272
You have kept me alive, that F273 I would not go R815 down to the pit.
4 Sing R816 praise to the LORD, you His R817 godly ones,
And give R818 thanks to His holy name. R819 F274
5 For His R820 anger is but for a moment,
His favor R821 is for a lifetime;
Weeping may last R822 for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning.
6 Now as for me, I said in my prosperity,
"I will never R823 be moved."
7 O LORD, by Your favor You have made my mountain to stand strong;
You hid R824 Your face, I was dismayed.
8 To You, O LORD, I called,
And to the Lord I made supplication:
9 "What profit is there in my blood, if I go R825 down to the pit?
Will the dust R826 praise You? Will it declare Your faithfulness?
10 "Hear, R827 O LORD, and be gracious to me;
O LORD, be my helper." R828
11 You have turned for me my R829 mourning into dancing;
You have loosed R830 my sackcloth and girded me with gladness, R831
12 That my soul R832 F275 may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give R833 thanks to You forever.
