Praise to the Creator and Preserver.

1 Sing R914 for joy in the LORD, O you righteous ones;

Praise is becoming R915 to the upright.

2 Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre; R916

Sing praises to Him with a harp R917 of ten strings.

3 Sing to Him a new R918 song;

Play skillfully with a R919 shout of joy.

4 For the word of the LORD is R920 upright,

And all His work is done in R921 faithfulness.

5 He loves R922 righteousness and justice;

The earth R923 is full of the lovingkindness of the LORD.

6 By the word R924 of the LORD the heavens were made,

And by R925 the breath of His mouth all R926 their host.

7 He gathers the waters R927 of the sea together as F292 a heap;

He lays up the deeps in storehouses.

8 Let all R928 the earth fear the LORD;

Let all the inhabitants of the world stand R929 in awe of Him.

9 For He R930 spoke, and it was done;

He commanded, and it stood F293 fast.

10 The LORD nullifies R931 the counsel of the nations;

He frustrates the plans of the peoples.

11 The counsel R932 of the LORD stands forever,

The plans R933 of His heart from generation to generation.

12 Blessed is the nation R934 whose God is the LORD,

The people whom He has chosen R935 for His own inheritance.

13 The LORD looks R936 from heaven;

He sees R937 all the sons of men;

14 From His R938 dwelling place He looks out

On all the inhabitants of the earth,

15 He who fashions R939 the F294 hearts of them all,

He who understands R940 all their works.

16 The R941 king is not saved by a mighty army;

A warrior is not delivered by great strength.

17 A horse R942 is a false hope for victory;

Nor does it deliver anyone by its great strength.

18 Behold, the R943 eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him,

On those who hope R944 F295 for His lovingkindness,

19 To deliver R945 their soul from death

And to keep them alive in R946 famine.

20 Our soul waits R947 for the LORD;

He is our help R948 and our shield.

21 For our heart R949 rejoices in Him,

Because we trust in His holy name.

22 Let Your lovingkindness, O LORD, be upon us,

According as we have hoped F296 in You.
