A Song Celebrating the King's Marriage.

For the choir director; according to the Shoshannim. F401 A Maskil F401 of the sons of Korah. A Song of Love.

1 My heart overflows F402 with a good theme;

I address F403 my verses F404 to the King; F405

My tongue is the pen of a R1364 ready writer.

2 You are fairer than the sons of men;

Grace R1365 is poured upon F406 Your lips;

Therefore God has blessed R1366 You forever.

3 Gird Your R1367 sword on Your thigh, O Mighty R1368 F407 One,

In Your splendor and Your majesty!

4 And in Your majesty ride on victoriously,

For the cause of truth and meekness R1369 and righteousness;

Let Your right R1370 hand teach You awesome F408 things.

5 Your arrows R1371 are sharp;

The peoples R1372 fall under You;

Your arrows are in R1373 the heart of the King's enemies.

6 Your R1374 throne, O God, is forever and ever;

A scepter of uprightness R1375 is the scepter of Your kingdom.

7 You have loved R1376 righteousness and hated wickedness;

Therefore God, Your God, has anointed R1377 You

With the oil of joy above Your fellows.

8 All Your garments are fragrant with myrrh R1378 and aloes and cassia;

Out of ivory palaces stringed R1379 instruments have made You glad.

9 Kings' daughters are among Your R1380 noble ladies;

At Your right R1381 hand stands the queen in gold R1382 from Ophir.

10 Listen, O daughter, give attention and incline your ear:

Forget R1383 your people and your father's house;

11 Then the King will desire your beauty.

Because He is your Lord, R1384 bow R1385 down to Him.

12 The daughter of Tyre R1386 will come with a gift;

The rich R1387 among the people will seek your favor.

13 The King's daughter is all glorious within;

Her clothing is interwoven R1388 with gold.

14 She will be led R1389 to the King in R1390 embroidered work;

The virgins, R1391 her companions who follow her,

Will be brought to You.

15 They will be led forth with gladness and rejoicing;

They will enter into the King's palace.

16 In place of your fathers will be your sons;

You shall make them princes in all the earth.

17 I will cause Your R1392 name to be remembered in all generations;

Therefore the peoples will R1393 give You thanks forever and ever.
