Book of 1 Corinthians Chapter 11 - Read Chapter 11:24 - [In Context ]and gave thanks for it. Then he divided the bread and said, "This is my body; it is for you. Eat this to remember me."
11:25 - [In Context ]In the same way, after they ate, Jesus took the cup of wine. Jesus said, "This wine shows the new agreement {from God to his people}. This new agreement begins with my blood (death). When you drink this, do it to remember me."
11:26 - [In Context ]Every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you make known the Lord's death until he comes.
11:27 - [In Context ]So if a person eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in a way that is not worthy of it, then that person is sinning against the body and the blood of the Lord.
11:28 - [In Context ]Every person should look into his own heart before he eats the bread and drinks the cup.
11:29 - [In Context ]If a person eats {the bread} and drinks {the cup} without recognizing the body, then that person is judged guilty by eating and drinking.
