Book of 1 Corinthians Chapter 11 - Read Chapter 11:27 - [In Context ]So if a person eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in a way that is not worthy of it, then that person is sinning against the body and the blood of the Lord.
11:28 - [In Context ]Every person should look into his own heart before he eats the bread and drinks the cup.
11:29 - [In Context ]If a person eats {the bread} and drinks {the cup} without recognizing the body, then that person is judged guilty by eating and drinking.
11:30 - [In Context ]That is why many in your group are sick and weak. And many have died.
11:31 - [In Context ]But if we judged ourselves in the right way, then God would not judge us.
11:32 - [In Context ]But when the Lord judges us, he punishes us to show us the right way. He does this so that we will not be condemned with {the other people in} the world.
